We’ve all heard of the tech companies that make up the FAANG stocks. Now I want to introduce you to the TAGMAN stocks. The TAGMAN stocks are companies investing in some combination of electric vehicles, autonomous driving technology and mobility solutions. Some have predicted this industry that I like to call transportation-as-a-service (TaaS) will become an $8 trillion market opportunity.

The foundational companies that are part of TAGMAN are…

Tesla, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon and Nvidia

I believe each of these companies will develop significant business in a future market opportunity of TaaS. However, there’s another company that belongs in the group, but might be dismissed due to its history. That company is General Motors. GM is further along in the transition toward an all electric vehicle, autonomous technology future than any legacy automakers.

With the inclusion of GM in the TAGMAN group of companies, what becomes of the acronym?

taGMan

Tesla, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, General Motors

I own shares of each company within taGMan. For me, this represents my own narrow TaaS investment portfolio. Other than Tesla, each company generates massive profits from other non-TaaS core businesses. This is very important to me as an investor. I also believe each company will accelerate their development of TaaS related technologies and businesses over the next several years that will drive their valuations higher. Soon I’ll dig a little deeper into why I believe companies like Apple, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft will be top taGMan companies in addition to Tesla and General Motors.
